Coaching

Coaching unlocks the dormant human potential in your organisation, and a good coach always asks questions and rarely offers advice.

Coaching for individuals can be applied at every level of the organisation.  Its purpose is to help individuals tap into their strengths, access their inner (often dormant) wisdom, and gain insight into their caution areas.

Coaching unlocks the dormant human potential in your organisation.

Our experience is that most people underestimate themselves and discover that they have an enormous store of knowledge when prompted with the right sort of questions.

Telling people how to solve their problems makes them dependent on you (and lazy).  The lessons are more significant and lasting when people solve their own problems and map out their path of action.  This can only be achieved by asking probing and challenging questions.

Whether you have a team leader who is new to their role and needs to learn how to enlist and extract the best from people who were formerly their colleagues, a manager whose leadership style seems to rub people up the wrong way, or a staff member who is struggling to perform at the required standard, individual coaching can help.

We use behavioural science, powered by The Predictive Index to help the individuals we coach better understand their personal drives and needs and explore how the behaviours resulting from those needs impact others around them.

We also use the Hogan 360 assessment to provide individuals with feedback from their peers, managers and reports, so they learn how others perceive them in the workplace, and what their primary development opportunities are.

Team of high perforrming people working together cohesively

Engaging with The Heartware Group, means you will:

Grow the leadership capabilities of your leaders and team leaders

Not everyone is a natural leader.  Yet even the most reluctant or inexperienced leaders can step into their potential when they understand how to meet their team members’ individual needs and drives.  We show leaders how to leverage their natural strengths and develop areas they naturally shy away from – because we believe everyone can lead….they’ll just lead in different ways – and our role is to help them find that way.

Build confidence and accountability

It’s hard stepping up into a leadership or team leader role.  People who were your peers are suddenly your direct reports, and that can undermine confidence.  We teach leaders how to meet the needs and drives of their team members so that it builds confidence in their working relationships.  We use an accountability framework that allows leaders to have non-emotional, adult conversations when people fail to hold themselves to the expected standard.

Improve workplace communication

We never get taught communication skills at school, yet it’s a crucial skill we each use every day of our lives.  Understanding how to adapt communication styles is an underpinning factor in our approach to leadership development and achieving business results.  Our corporate coaching sessions focus heavily on improving workplace communication so that everyone is on the same page and teams can operate more cohesively.
